how can it reboot without any error ?
anyone can tell me what should i select in the kernel options at processor family ? have a Pentium 1 at 133 MHz, /proc/cpuinfo says model name : Pentium 75 - 200, it's a HP. the option i'm thinking to choose is either "Pentium Classic" or "586/K5/5x86/6x86/6x86MX", a 2.6.x kernel .. also .. could it be too old (the cpu) for a 2.6 kernel ? so not supported ? so i need a 2.4 ?
crc
compile for i586
Its supported. I think they even have the generic i386 compile flags too.
Dreadfull
i586 ?
so 586/K5/5x86/6x86/6x86MX ?
WereW0|f
yo
crc
unless theirs assembly code to consider at compile time these settings usually just tell the compiler what processor to target
hold on let me look
Dreadfull
this is the only option with 586, could try 386 too
crc
you could do 386 but your not gonna get any optimizations
let me check.
Dreadfull
.. at this cpu i really need all the optimisations i can get
(my luck it's only a damn router)
crc
what menu are you at that shows that long string of processors?
Dreadfull
processor type and features -> processor family
crc
select pentium-classig
Dreadfull
k
thx
hope it works
crc
the 586/K5/5x86/6x86/6x86MX
Dreadfull
as i loose 1-2 hours to compile the kernel
crc
looks more geared for an AMD
Dreadfull
k
crc
you are useing a pentium and it is classic (its not a Pentium-Pro)
NetBandit

I'm useing syslog-ng and I can't seem to get any log messages from sshd to show up in /var/loc/auth.log whats the deal?
destination authlog { file("/var/log/auth.log"); };
placeing the above in /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf seems to have no affect.
Why is logging such a pain in the ass?
ok nevermind. I switched back to ksyslogd
err sysklogd
