does any one know of a document describing how to configure Apache for servlets?
theBear
i don't even know what a servlet is :)
crc
its like when users download Javabyte code from a web server and run it.
I'm thinking it would be something as simple as just putting a .class file on the server or something
maby I'm useing the wrong terminolgy
I think I'm looking for applets

lenox
just make a link to the .jar
crc
thanks. :)
lenox
unless you want it to run _in_ the page, i gues...?
crc
Trying to get the mindterm so I can ssh into my box with out installing ssh every where I go.
pinkerton
lenox: easy app for os x that resizes jpgs?
Psych
Knickers.
pinkerton
doh
lenox
pinkerton: i thought preview.app could do it but i wasn't sure. check out graphicconverter
pinkerton
yeah it doesn't seem to
lenox
hm ok
pinkerton
or i'm just not seeing it.
crc
So is it worth it to store mindterm as a SSH client on my home server to be transferd to clients as an applet or is it not even worth it as its too open to man in the middle attacks?
pinkerton
ok so uh how do i resize with this app
why is this soo difficult
crc
I'm looking.
I remember a command line tool to do this
pinkerton
yeah it's image magick
a-evol
mm
I always forget that k in the end
lol
pinkerton

lenox

*shrug*
djik
guys, where's a good place to find out what are the plans for any specific package that's in gentoo? for instance, there are many samba versions in "~", and no one seems to care...
Psych
nostril

lenox
find the maintainer
and email them
Psych
hi ncv
ncv
I hate that bot :)
Freman
any chance emerge could be made to do en env-update && source /etc-profile after each individual package?
it's impossible to leave it overnight unsupervised )c:
lenox
hm, you could edit the ebuilds before you run it
Freman
all 232 of them?
lenox
well it wouldn't be too hard
or maybe you could cron it
it'd be a slight waste of resources but it'd get the job done
Freman
no it wouldn't
it would not update the current session
lenox
ahh, good point
Psych
