hello
i was wondering if there's a way to print text on multiple lines without calling an interrupt for each line?
edcba
depends on the function used
just try to print newline characters
0dh,0ah
D347H
so if i put: Text db "blah", 0dh, 0ah, "blah"
it'll put two "blah" s on two lines?
why don't i just try it
haha
this is awesome

when i use the API GetWindowsDirectoryA, in what register go the result?
vm
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/sysinfo/base/getwindowsdirectory.asp
and EAX will probably contain the error code
Hutley
vm: thanks
vm
oh, seems like eax will contain the length of the path
and if it's zero, something went fubar.
Hutley
eax contain only the length?
vm
yep
Hutley
but, where go the paht in string format?
*pah
vm
this function takes two parameters, one pointer to your buffer, and the other is the size of your buffer (MAX_PATH)
and on return, the path will be in your buffer
zero terminated.
read the page i gave you =)

ah, k. i see now
