WTF happen to Tor Network all this exit nodes created
dunifera
I do not understand how works technically a torproxy
justaguy
Lever: I don't know where the hell you get that info from but that tool is outdated for sure.
earl3x
What is practical example of routing all traffic through Tor? Do you still isolate the Tor Browser from the system-wide Tor running or use the already running Tor and configure it to use special port of it.
woossa
earl3x: tails does it
u could ask abt it in #tails
cyberanger
I think the way I've read (not sure if it's the best, guessing it's not the only way) is using transport and iptables
everything NOT from the tor user is forced to transport via iptables, only thing the tor user should be used for is running tor
earl3x
Of course. I mean mainly if it would be recommended to use Tor Browser in a system that already have running Tor in a separate way or not. Thanks for reply woossa.
gamambel
earl3x: tor browser uses a different default socks port for exactly that situation. yes, generally it's fine to run both
earl3x
Use TBB on 9150 and Tor on 9050?

gamambel
earl3x: that's the defaults, yes
mdik
earl3x: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/TransparentProxy
and faster than to ask in #tails is to boot tails and look at the iptables setup
velope
tails does not use transparent proxying
it's fine to run both a tor in torbrowser and a "system" tor, but that is separate from whether you're doing transparent proxying

oh you'r all alive
just come to all my channel

there is no such thing as anonymous
everything is log
hey

hi
skraito-0x71
hellow

no one wanna join me
ryonaloli_
not much, just idling
skraito-0x71
in my channel ?
same here
i am bored
ryonaloli_
eh, this isn't a channel for advertising
skraito-0x71
i know
ryonaloli_
it's for support for people using tor
skraito-0x71
but why you guys want tor
let me answer you'r question
tor is me alone that code it
ryonaloli_
i use tor for privacy and anonymity
skraito-0x71
it stupid
i explain to you
tor is connecting through hub and hub and hub
all that hub has ssl certificate that we backdoored
and that ssl We have access to it
tor onion hidden service too
all hub is interpol
ryonaloli_
well i know how tor works :P

skraito-0x71
if you make you'r self as tor exit node
the whole of you'r computer We have access to it
if you want privacy better use vpn
ryonaloli_
vpns are not designed for anonymity or privacy. they are easier to break into.
skraito-0x71
that's better than tor
what
break that vpn encryption than
ryonaloli_
the thing with tor is, even if you use an evil exit node, if you disable scripts, the exit node cannot do anything to you
skraito-0x71
:)
that's wrong
ryonaloli_
no not break the vpn encryption, break into the vpn servers (which is usually failry easy), or exploit routing mistakes
skraito-0x71
what do i ssaid
there is no exploit routing
ryonaloli
arma
or *be* the vpn. then you know all the users, and everything they do.
skraito-0x71
all route is already hard coded with static bgp dual route
of course with tor We know what all user do too
ryonaloli_
i was talking about the route table on your own computer
though arma si right of course, if you are the vpn, you can pwn all the useres
skraito-0x71
exactly
ryonaloli_
whereas if you are a tor node, you have much more limited abilities
skraito-0x71
chew what i said ieee no spoon feeding
ryonaloli_
you would need to own both the first, and last node
skraito-0x71
why i said We have access to you'r computer
tips netbus and subseven
f-secure.com
i am the coder of original subseven and netbus
cult of the dead cow i just laugh to them
ryonaloli_
i believe subseven and netbus were written by different people...
sej
could I have an invite to #nottor? Thanks
ws2k3
is there an argument so i can start tor as a daemon?
Tichodroma
ws2k3: what OS do you use? How did you install Tor?
ws2k3
Tichodroma i use debian i used apt-get to install tor, but i am trying to run multiple tor instandces and when i just run /usr/sbin/tor -f then it does not daemonize
Tichodroma
why run multiple instances?
ws2k3
Tichodroma caue i wanne have mutiple country's as exitnodes
Tichodroma
are you running a relay?
ws2k3
no just setting up a transparant proxy
Tichodroma
edit RunAsDaemon in the torrc
ws2k3
i was just gonna tell you that i found that options :)
cacahuatl
You want to look at isolation flags, not multiple instances of tor
ws2k3
cacahuatl hmm what does that exacly mean
