mewm
Alphos, what is it that you're calling a DiC?
sorabji
if i had to guess: a container that holds dependencies to be injected
Alphos
that'd be a smart guess
sorabji
i mean, dependency injection container
mewm
but that is not valid wording
Alphos
mewm how is it not ?
sorabji
...?
mewm
if it would by anything, wouldn't it then be dependency injected container ?
sorabji
no

Alphos
mewm a container for dependency injection. a dependency injection container
thebuccaneersden
mewm : look into pimple
sorabji
the container is not injected
thebuccaneersden
mewm : http://pimple.sensiolabs.org/
mewm
maybe it's be, but DIC sound like a "tool" to handle dependency injection, and not the subject where dependencies has been injected
Alphos
mewm it's you
mewm
dont get me wrong, I'm well aware of DI and IoC
I just haven't seen the term DIC being used :P
Alphos
[22:31:31] <Alphos> mewm a container for dependency injection. a dependency injection container
mewm you haven't been here long, have you ?
mewm
listen, I'm merely expressing that I didn't quite get that specific wording of it.
:D
thebuccaneersden
kk
mewm
I'm not saying it's wrong :p
Alphos
moving on...
thebuccaneersden

Alphos, sorry, didn't mean to call you out or anything :P

i said not recommend
Alphos
Sammitch, jj15, well tried, too bad
thebuccaneersden you're asking for a recommendation nonetheless. please stop

thebuccaneersden, Guideline #10) We don't support script(s). We help you *write* PHP, not recommend or download and install/hack/modify/adapt/use pre-written scripts or third party APIs. Contact the authors of the script for support options they provide.
Sammitch
I doubt you're going to find anything that coverts *from* html to markdown
thebuccaneersden
sammitch : wrong. there are. just nothing in php that includes -extra as far as i can find
Alphos
Sammitch you're underestimating newbs with regular expressions in their toolset
Sammitch
well... maybe. it'll be interesting to see if it works
Alphos: tru dat
Alphos
note : toolset != skillset
thebuccaneersden
ok, can anyone help me wriote an html 2 markdown-extra plugin rather than just recommend one?
Alphos
thebuccaneersden http://php.net/DOM
jj15
What problem do you have?
Sammitch
preg_match_all('/<(.*)>(.*)</\1>/')
Alphos
thebuccaneersden : that is helping. i assure you.
thebuccaneersden
lol
Alphos
Sammitch gdiafp :D
thebuccaneersden
ok, i wasted oxygen here
Sammitch
Alphos: since you've asked so nicely...
(Action) dies in a fire.
Alphos
"fiery pit" :p
Sammitch
oh, I read it as "go die in a fire please"
Alphos
:D
Sammitch
(Action) goes back to trying to figure out how his ssh client is authenticating with a key that doesn't appear to exist.
jj15
thebuccaneersden: Not oxygen, but definatly kinetic energy.

http://3v4l.org/eVJW5 --> ok i've tried to make some random bit of OOP using DI + DIC + Factory. is this along the right ideas? what am i doing wrong/could do better?
Alphos
runinsquares sorry, count me out. bit tired right now, not really into reading piles of code atm ^^'
jj15
You have a var_dump in there. That should be gone :p
ntarki
any php live test site link
jj15
Horrible variable names $s and $f etc have no meaning.
runinsquares
$s /string $f /float but alright
is a function such as: $this->set("name", "Rick"); gonna be better than $this->setName("Rick");?
Alphos
ntarki 3v4l.org for instance ?
ntarki
yes ty
Alphos
ntarki alternatively, you can run your code in a vm on your own computer. just saying.
ntarki
i have i just wanna test something real quick
runinsquares
the way i see it 3v4l.org are paying for resources and it'd be rude not to use them x)
Alphos
ntarki ok, so you can run your code in a vm on your own computer. just saying.
runinsquares
it has literally just occurred to me that 3v4l is eval in leetspeak
i'm slow :(
Alphos
runinsquares do you know why people get so excited around 13:37 every day ?
runinsquares
and during a football match, yes
ntarki
i have ubuntu server on virtualbox, with all the nice stuff just a hustle to upload a php file to test a line of code :"P
runinsquares
\o,
Alphos
not so slow then
runinsquares
if you're using vagrant and `vagrant suspend` it shouldn't take long at all to up
Alphos
ntarki : not really. don't you always have a shell open ? run php -a, and be done with it
runinsquares
Alphos, php probably exists inside the vm
Alphos
or you could just nano/vim/emacs/echo''>> it
runinsquares my point exactly
ntarki
true
Alphos
when your vm is running, always have a shell open into it
it's THERE, why not use it ?
jj15
runinsquares Dependency Injection is where you pass in dependencies a class needs via the constructor (as opposed to baking dependencies into the class). I dont really see this here.
Alphos
jj15 doesn't have to be the constructor
doesn't even have to be an object or class
jj15
Im not typing a complete guide. Had I have been, I would have included kitchen sink.
runinsquares
i'm not really sure i know the difference with what you refer to jj15
Alphos
s/dependencies a class needs via the constructor/dependencies wherever needed as arguments to the method\/function call/
mewm
has anyone used hhvm when running tests?
Whiskey
Alphos: did you see my massage yesterday?
Alphos
mewm i'm sure people at facebook have
Whiskey uh, massage ?
