foobar__t3ch
Well then
any ideas why the ident "root" is banned in this channel xD?
Bittarman
because someone was being naughty using it maybe...
foobar__t3ch
banning an ident is idiotic though
since you can change it at will
cythrawll
foobar__t3ch, it's default ident for many clients is the local username
people who've idented withroot are logged in as root, and get taken advantage of
foobar__t3ch
looks like I'll have to change my znc ident and jump xD
hmmm
cythrawll
banning root ident has been a practice pretty common in irc back in the day
foobar__t3ch
what to change it tooooo
cythrawll
your znc is running as root?
morfin
what about toor?

foobar__t3ch
nah its not
caffinated
foobar__t3ch: does it really matter? press random buttons?
Bittarman
you're running znc as root.... and you're accusing other people of something idiotic?
Dustin|Work
Probably some sort of old school safeguard
foobar__t3ch
just had nothing better to put as ident
Bittarman
znc
bouncer
foobar__t3ch
Bittarman: its running as a very restricted user xD
when filling in the ident, root was the first thing to come into my head
cythrawll
(Action) closes bug: problem with reporters head
foobar__t3ch
there
Forbidd3n
using nested set, if I want all accounts that are active, but if a parent of a descendant isn't active I don't want the children? can someone help me with this query concept, please?
Bittarman
Forbidd3n, that would be a #sql or #mysql question
mentoc
I'm stoked that my work tasked me with replacing our autoloader with composer :)
Gotamon
Yay
morfin
is not composer creating autoloader.php?
mentoc
composer creates an autoloader yes
_entropy
how do you count how many $_SESSION[""] there is total?
mentoc
_entropy: how many $_SESSON variables exist?
_entropy
yes
mentoc
I would assume count($_SESSION), but you may want to double check that
unnu
Need some help . . . i am getting a white page, and there is nothing in error.log

mentoc
unnu: post your code
unnu
about that
im not sure what page I broke
Frantically trying to fix things
i have login.php which includes login.inc.php which includes session.php which includes session.class.php
Dustin|Work
http://codepad.viper-7.com/C965Ck
Can confirm count() works
Did you check your php log?
unnu
where is php log?
Dustin|Work
Have any debugging in place?
unnu
ive checked /var/log/apache2/error.log
Dustin|Work
/var/log/httpd/error_log or /var/log/apache2/error.log
unnu
its blank
empty
not a thing
:(
Dustin|Work
Did you guys update recently or something
Or any commits for those files recently
unnu
nope, built the server from scratch on AWS yesterday, have been uploading the core just today and yesterday
I re-wrote my old session.class.php file, becuase php 5.4 has the new sessionHandlerInterface stuff
when i did i kept getting errors about member function on a non member (my $mysqli var)
pEYEd
Why does file_get_contents('php://input') work perfect with curl, but fail with Stripe? the only difference is a slightly different header, but stripe does use POST and defines JSON, I don't know what it doesn't like?? http://paste.ee/p/8zzcK
unnu
I then wrote the line $this->db = new mysqli($this->host, $this->user, $this->pass, $this->name); if((!$this->db->connect_errno) && (!(is_object($this->db))){return true;}
idk if there is any problems with that
Dustin|Work
unnu, do you have error reporting on?
unnu
-1
Dustin|Work
ini_set('display_startup_errors',1);
ini_set('display_errors',1);
Turn those on too and see if you get something other than a white page
unnu
okay
still white page
:(
caffinated
display_startup_errors doesn't make much sense to set at runtime
also, it's probably a parse error, in which case runtime settings won't have an effect
set it in .htaccess, your webserver configuration, or php.ini
unnu
alright
Dustin|Work
Ya i meant in the .ini, not inline code, shouldnt have added the init_set
caffinated
another way you could check to see if it's a parse error is to go to the commandline and run php -l yourscripthere.php
unnu
-l ?
okay
caffinated
-l means "lint check"
it checks the syntax without running the code
unnu
No syntax errors detected in login.php
Dustin|Work
is login.php being included from any other scripts?
Might be your index
unnu
nope
caffinated
the next step is to look at your webserver error log and see if there are errors reported there. if you have nothing there, then it's likely a logic problem in your script.
unnu
okay
the code i pasted
!(is_object($this->db)) is that safe to use, because thats around the last thing i did
caffinated
depends on whether or not $this->db is expected to be an object
syntax-wise, it's fine, though the extra parens are unnecessary
unnu
okay, so i tweeked it, now I am having a problem with mysqli i guess
let me pastebin
i hate exposing my DB table names, but i suppose i can change those later http://pastebin.com/HabMfBtN
errors are Call to member function bind_param*( on non-object on lines 66 and 84
now that i removed the line thats the only errors i get
hey would you look at that, Its just that I am an Idiot, Thanks #php
Dustin|Work
That's the reason for 2/3rd of bugs ;) Happens to us all
jakesyl
hey I'm getting an unexpected foreach
unnu
I was tired when I wrote alot of that last night . . . somehow it worked (with so many errors) and I tweeked it and it all came crumbling down. I am happy for it though, it forces me to write better code :)
jakesyl
on line 60 of this: https://gist.github.com/jakesyl/bf66eb60b6d38172478d
So usually, unexpected means something wrong on the prior line, but I couldn't find anything
riceandbeans
can anyone help me make my drupal instance less bland?
cythrawll
riceandbeans, I doubt that's something we can help with here riceandbeans
