mad93
i'm on a shared hosting but does weird things with a php program, some templates works with one user and with others works with another
and i want to make the cookie var 777
becase if not, the server complains about writting permissions depending on the page
gulldarek
ok, looks like that error was caused by domain names
Burian
can someone tell me what is the proper way to echo the statement in the second for statement http://burian.pastebin.com/534477
Julian|Work
mad93, check the ownership of your PHP files
mad93
so i'm doing a chmod for solve it
gulldarek
It works great after I've entered IP address :>
mad93
Julian|Work: is in compliation time the error
the files created on /tmp
well, my ./tmp
Julian|Work
Yes, but if your host is using suPHP, the process will run as the owner of the PHP file.
mad93
i can't do much because i'm on a shared hosting, so i was trying this

Julian|Work
If it works with some files and not with others, I'd suspect that the ownership of your PHP files isn't consistent
And should be changed.
mad93
yes Julian|Work, but the lifetype soft i don't know what does that the session is created with the server user propiety
but, more estrange
only in some pages
Burian
can someone tell me what is the proper way to echo the statement in the second for statement http://burian.pastebin.com/534477
WebDragon
myconid: you still there?
got one strange error showing up in the apache error_log with the sessions going
mad93
so, with some it complains abut being the cookie of user server, and with others complains about being mine the cookie...
i'm quite lost, so i'm trying this
but, now it shows this error, and the headers complaint
nforbes
Pollita: PING!
TML
mad93: The mode can be changed only by user who owns the file on most systems.
mad93
TML: yes
i change the perms in the moment of creation
but, it when the 'other user' tries to change complains
myconid
WebDragon: yo
mad93
but i've putted a @ for avoid the error message, but it's not working
Cicciux
so... what's the general opinion on phpBB??
InterSVR
hullo, i've got a real weird problem with a foreach, the code works on my php 4.3.9 server, but not with 5, i'm using foreach($calc as $name => $value), and on the PHP5 box its mangling the values of the array, it turns the first value, which is type double, into NULL.. anyone ever seen anything like this?
b1n0ry
Cicciux it's a nice package, but mods are a pita
TML
mad93: I'm guessing that the chmod error must not pass through PHP's error control code. Try this: $olderr = error_reporting(0); chmod(....); error_reporting($olderr);
Julian|Work
Cicciux, I hear it's insecure as hell.
Cicciux
lol
Julian|Work
I've always used XMBforums.
InterSVR
yeah i've heard of a lot of systems compromised by phpbb
Cicciux
it's hard masked on gentoo, so I'd say it's not been proven to be secure....
Julian|Work
Cicciux, rather it's been proven to be insecure. :P

TML
I wore a hard mask for Haloween once...
Cicciux
Julian|Work, that doesn't seem to be open source...
TML
Last time I used a forum system, Phorum was the best option
Julian|Work
Cicciux, so?
It's visible source, if nothing else.
WebDragon
(Action) slides myconid a stein full of Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre (http://www.dogfish.com/)
Julian|Work
And free.
Cicciux
It's php based, of course it visible source.
Julian|Work
You're telling me!
myconid

Dangermouse
"Phorum 5, it's like fast and stuff" <- lol
Julian|Work
samzzzz, have you read INSTALL.TXT in the PHP directory?
Stormchaser
Cicciux: If it's encrypted, then the source is not visible
lig
Morning
Stormchaser

myconid
Julian|Work: looking for something a little more automated..
mad93
TML: not working
Julian|Work
myconid: people around here use Eclipse or Zend
mad93

mad93

samzzzz

myconid

Julian|Work
samzzzz, follow the steps in INSTALL.TXT
samzzzz

Julian|Work
You'll need to restart Apache after making the changes to httpd.conf
samzzzz
i dont make a change in httpd.conf
what i need to change ?
Julian|Work
samzzzz: READ INSTALL.TXT
myconid
samzzzz: its your server.. we dont know
samzzzz

InterSVR
anyone know if 5.0.4 is flakey?
mad93
uooo, great :)
working perfectly now
myconid
InterSVR: there is a 5.1.x build for a reason one might imagine
mad93
thank you so much ;)
Stormchaser
InterSVR: in what way?
Burian
how do you get the Array ( [0] => 1 [1] => 3 ) to just show the 1 and the 3
HolyGoat
whow, xsl sucks so bad
myconid
Burian: echo $array[0] . ',' . $array[1]; ?
samzzzz
:(
iam poor and i need help
InterSVR
hehe myconid, i dont think the existence of a new version automatically renders older versions unstable
Julian|Work
samzzzz: http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.php
samzzzz
ok i will read it
Julian|Work
Cool
Burian
myconid: but the numbers in the [] are not defined
Cicciux
samzzzz, you probably have to add mod_php to the apache config.
InterSVR
Stormchaser, i have a foreach in this code that is mangling variable contents and causing segfaults, trying to figure out if the code isn't gonna play with php5 or if its just this version of php5
myconid
Burian: foreach ?
Burian
I need two arrays to display side by side so I can;t do that
myconid
grr.. zend.com says my password 'should be more than 6 characters' ..
yet wont continue with it less
Stormchaser
InterSVR: I think I heard about that... But probably fixed in 5.0.5, the last 5.0 release
easypwn
Anyone know why this htaccess causes all my HTML files to give 404 error?: http://rooted.myvnc.com/ap/problem/htaccess.txt
InterSVR
Stormchaser, ah thanks.. i'll have to hassle this guy about updrading
that was a good waste of 3 hours :|
HolyGoat
he won't updrade?
InterSVR
i haven't asked
last time i worked on this machine it was running 4.3
mikefoo
would a 'cat /dev/null > file' work fine in cron? or is there another way of doing.
HolyGoat
maybe he doesn't know what updrading is
myconid
Anyone here use zend?
HolyGoat
mikefoo: I odn't see why that wouldn't work from cron
don't, too
mikefoo
ahh ok was just curious
InterSVR
he doesn't know what server maintenance is, forget upgrading!
HolyGoat
oh, upgrading
I thought you meant updrading
Stormchaser
lol
WebDragon
(Action) uses vim for most of his editing needs, myconid
TML
myconid: You need to be more specific...everyone who uses PHP uses at least one zend product
WebDragon
myconid: if you're at all curious I have a crapload of nifty vim directives at www.webdragon.net/htmlcss.php
lig
(Action) also uses vim
myconid
TML: :P.. the zend studio product.
InterSVR
way to spot those typos HolyGoat
WebDragon
you may find something useful there
p0windah
vim here too
HolyGoat
I seriously don't get why XSL has such a large userbase
Stormchaser
kwrite
HolyGoat
InterSVR: excuse my bad sense of humor
(Action) uses jedit at home nowadays, vim at work
myconid
HolyGoat: sadomasacists
HolyGoat
myconid: It could have been much better
TML
myconid: My point was simply that your question could just as easily have referred to the encoder, the optimizer, or even SafeGuard (w/e that is)
myconid
TML: Thanks, and understood :)
HolyGoat: how so
HolyGoat
I had to do this to be able to sort in a case insensitive way: <xsl:sort select="translate(artist, 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz', 'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ')" />
I mean.. come on.
myconid
HolyGoat: oh.. jesus :)
HolyGoat
It's like C, but without libraries.
Freaking minimal.
winmutt
HolyGoat: ya ya
i have a wheel i need you to reinvent
HolyGoat

winmutt
