Good morning
I have a question on procedure I was looking through. It had a line like this "v_attribute_table id_table := id_table();"
But I couldn't find anything about id_table. it was just a object with type type.
can I view this in a table format?
tackd
hamsterpower: well, if it's an oracle nested table or varray type, then just DESC'ing the type in SQL will show you the definition
hamsterpower
tackd I'll try that thanks
TYPE "ID_TABLE" is table of id_record;
user type definition
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TYPE "ID_RECORD" is object (id integer);
tackd
okay, so DESC id_record
hamsterpower
tackd: now how do I view the table id_record?
tackd
sorry, you did... didn't see the last bit
hamsterpower
or is this not a table
tackd
id_record is a OBJECT type
so, you've got a TABLE type of OBJECT type(s)
hamsterpower
but then what is being stored in "v_attribute_table id_table := id_table();"

tackd
nothing... it's the constructor for a new instance of it
hamsterpower
hah
so it will only contain information within certain procedure when it is running
tackd
yep
hamsterpower
cool
you are so cool
thank you

Anyone know of a channel for weblogic?
Maxel
is this a good place to ask questions about weblogic? I'm having trouble starting it up in debug mode right now
