hi - how to show the file_name_convert parameter for a PDB?
rajrajraj
is it possible to trace what query from network is comming to oracle db
peterR``
rajrajraj: yes
with wireshark
filter: tcp.port==1521
rajrajraj
peterR``: there can i find which query is being executed
?
peterR``
yes - get wireshark: it's free
then that line is what goes in the filter specification
then you can see the queries
rajrajraj
Cool thanks
peterR``: ty
peterR``
run wireshark on your oracle server
rajrajraj
On oracle server why?
peterR``
you have access to the client?

rajrajraj
Does it matter if it is ob oracle server or on my machine?
peterR``
run it on your machine then
no problem
rajrajraj
Ok ;)

Ty
peterR``
I thought you didn't know which client was connecting
if you run it on the server you will see traffic from all clients
rajrajraj
I am the client
Yeah that is true
peterR``
right - so put wireshark on your machine
is it windows or linux?
rajrajraj
Windows
peterR``
so you must allow wireshark to install winpcap or else it won't work
rajrajraj
Haha no there wasnt choice of ios :p
Ok
peterR``: anyways thanks
