What's the equvalent command for `/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup`? (--> http://i.imgur.com/Hvs62pU.png in Fedora Kde PLasma 22)
question about oracle 12 installer UI (a bug) rather than the db itself ... should I be here or ##oracledb? Okay so the problem is that the oracle 11 installer works fine, but the oracle 12 installer does not accept keyboard input. Clicking the fields doesn't show me a cursor, and typing doesn't enter any text. I tested CentOS 6.5 and 7.1, using X11 forwarding because it's a headless server, as it should be.
you're probably missing libraries on the Xserver and/or fonts probably some old motif crud
hali: I got it installed finally, by using -responseFile and other args to set the fields that couldn't be modified
is DECODE(DocumentID, NOT NULL, 1, NULL, 0) the same as NVL2(DocumentID, 1, 0)? hmmm I think it's DECODE(DocumentID, NULL, 0, 1)
great, thanks MatheusOl: how would I do that in postgres? CASE DocumentID WHEN NOT NULL THEN 1 WHEN NULL THEN 0 END;?
yottabyte: CASE WHEN DocumentID IS NOT NULL THEN 1 ELSE 0 END Also works on Oracle
I see CASE column WHEN 1 THEN 'YES' WHEN 0 THEN 'NO' END online, for example
i have to admit i use decode as much as possible, but just because im used to it... it can be pretty messy to read old sql with levels of nested decode
waiting until you can do !DocumentID?1:0
yottabyte: There are two basic forms of a CASE END expression: <simple case>: CASE expression WHEN x THEN y WHEN x2 THEN y2 ... ELSE ... END ... -and- ... <searched case>: CASE WHEN comparison THEN x WHEN comparison THEN ... ELSE .. END
What's the variable I set to tell sqlplus the service to which I want to connect? I've set it before, and I know the service name. I got it: ORACLE_SID. Guessed it successfully.
