hi all, . oracle forms question: i'm trying to modity a record to clear its image. i know *reading it in* is something like read_image_file(item, format, filename). that's fine. but clearing it? i've tried :CONTROL.ITEM := NULL; (bad bind variable), :CONTROL.ITEM := EMPTY_BLOB(); (some other error). any ideas?
i could update the table directly... but i was wondering if there was a forms-way to do it.
actually causing an update to occur wreakes havoc on normal form flow. the record-set disappears, and the record in the record-block doesn't get updated
