is it possible to restore an rman backup from a 10gR2 database to say, 11gr2? I suspect it's possible with just a dbua after the restore?

hey, what is oraclevm is it a Red-Hat VM EE with Oracle hey, what is oraclevm... is it a RedHat EE VM with Oracle installed on it ?
hello hello guys, new to oracle, I have been fighting 2 days to find why "select l_n from table" was working on a server and NOT on another where I had to put double quotes around l_n i figured out the problem comes from PRESERVE CASE. If checked, then the double quotes are required. My question is : how can I query the current value for a table and how can I change it ? any hint appreciated :)
alter table "l_n" rename to l_n that way, you'll rename it to "L_N" (with capitals) and it will work umm, wait. alter table some_table rename column "l_n" to l_n umm, wait again. I'm talking to no-one, as usual :S
We are just ignoring you
that's good in any case, but it was meant for chevdor, who chose to remain dumb instead :P
never heard of preserve_case setting in oracle, actually
