Hello !!!!
Noob question from here... can we create a role and a user with the same name
Well I think we can't because when we grant a privilige to one of them, we don't specify user or role
just Grant .... to ....
Dormir
try it

I don't really have oracle system now, and I'm preparing for an exam :(
the teacher didn't mention it at allllll
Dormir
you have an exam on Oracle and don't have an instance to play around with?
usn
:)
mamp
we study oracle just in theory, the main subject is sql but as the teacher is an oracle expert ...
usn
you should break through that wall, install Oracle XE
Oracle in theory is nonsense

Dormir
still, how can you study SQL without an engine to run it
whether that engine is Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase, MySQL, Postgres, whatever
usn
You can use parsing diagrams and plot it on paper :P
Dormir
not very useful or interesting :)
theory without pratical application is a pain
usn
oh, I love to try to understand how oracle does its parsing
but in order to solve practical problems, not vice versa :P
Dormir
yeah, but you also have an instance to work with :)
usn
How do you know that? ;)
Dormir
because you ask questions about your instances :)
usn
:)
mamp
I have mysql running :)
but I just wanted to know that issue
could you help me?
Dormir ne me laisse pas Dormir :p
