Hello!
I have a little question about thunderbird. I use it for my hotmail account, which is only possible with POP3 and not with IMAP. But thunderbird won't have to reload all my mails each time I open it right? (Just to be sure)

Does anybody know if NPAPI support is ever going to be dropped by Firefox, and if so, when?

Hello!
MikeJoel
anyone know if mozilla has an ftp server?
SJW
You looked at https and thought "This protocol is too secure and well-designed"?
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/ might still be running and ftp daemon. Not sure.
auscompgeek
the ftpd was shut down a while ago, ftp.m.o was getting too big.
it still does http, I believe, if you, for some reason, just hate SSL/TLS.

is firefox's 'session restore' feature orphaned ?
I tried to findbug reports in bugzilla and there are over 500 bug reports, all marked as unassigned
if it's not maintainable, maybe it needs to be removed ?
MikeJoel
reason I was looking mozilla ftp was that I am on slow dial up, so ftp is a faster method than surfing pages to find a download... trying to find a single document containing the css specs
anyone know if www.w3.org/TR/CSS21 has a single page doc holding all the specs?
(got disconnected) - anyone know if www.w3.org/TR/CSS21 has a single page doc holding all the specs?
b0at
there are links there for a single-page text version and a zipped html version

hello
what is it about threads that makes the browser segfault (64bit gentoo, ff v41.0-r1) on certain pages? I disabled offmainthread since youtube occasionally crashes the browser after variable amount of time, segfault with often nothing, sometimes a coredump
or rather, set offmainthread to false
also, is the -bin firefox for linux compiled with special optimization?

What setting is used to enable/disable the pink performance counter in firefox?
noone?
Ok i found the setting... "draw-fps" was enabled in about:config

am I understanding it correctly that mozilla would have to change the add on API considerably in order to have lazily loaded tabs?
viccuad
hi guys. what is the support window of ESR versions?
printline
I just measured 1.09MB per tab, seems a bit too much :/
having all add ons disabled

viccuad: https://mozorg.cdn.mozilla.net/media/img/firefox/organizations/release-overview-high-res.7f1fea43e9e2.png
The window should be 7 releases

since adblock has been sold and we don't know the buyer's identity, what alternative would you use guys?
smth which is free (as in freedom)
b0at
pretty sure that was just a pretender for chrome. it has nothing to do with the traditional firefox extensions.
the original "adblock" was a firefox extension whose development was abandoned before adblock plus matured, which was long before google chrome got extensions and wiped everybody's memory.
and then things calling themselves "adblock" for chrome sprung up before proper resource blocking was even implemented, after which adblock plus came to chrome. and then the ublock confusion.

oops, ignore my k

basically, stick to wladamir palant's work (and its derivatives) or gorhill's work (ublock origin)
