kbrosnan
looks like you are disabling some things that are not tested as disabled. more or less three of the last four options look suspect
i don't think you can build Firefox with disable gnome or dbus

running firefox 3.6.3 windows xp pro each time I wanna install persona/theme it asks me to "allow" how do I always allow personas?
hoving over persona in the past allowed me to preview them in real time not anymore
I have to add getpersonas.com to some list?
ah yes
now it works
personas are less buggy but not as fun as themes
in my opionion

xacv: sessionstore.rdf should have that if you turn on remember my tabs and windows from last session (options or prefs > general > when firefox starts )

kbrosnan
sugoi: options/preferences > privacy

(Action) wonders how to make firefox not ignore system mime type associations (Linux)
sugoi
kbrosnan: found it ["Remember search and form history"], this was a 'custom' setting for history that is configurable only after selecting a combobox in options->privacy. i had been to this screen before but didn't drill further as this configuration is hidden by default, but gave it a 2nd look per your direction, thanks :)

sri142
what are the current projects?
I just want to get involved
is anyone there?
Nitrox22
yea
current mozilla projects - http://www.mozilla.org/projects/
kbrosnan
arekm: you would need to install gnomevfs, which means installing most of gnome
oralo: operating system?
arekm
what a crap :/
oralo
osx
arekm
kbrosnan: ok, thanks for info
kbrosnan
oralo: there are nightly, beta and stable beta builds if that is what you are talking about?
oralo
krosnan; yes. but i was hoping there was a 'nightly build' that automatically updated itself. i think chrome has something like that.
kbrosnan
you need to approve each update, they are looking into a more silent updater
oralo
kbrosnan ok; thanks.
xacv
kbrosnan, which format is that?
docmur
Where does firefox store the passwords / history.
xacv
kbrosnan, and that is not current session right?
docmur
is it stored in my documents?

<kbrosnan> xacv: sessionstore.rdf should have that if you turn on remember my tabs and windows from last session (options or prefs > general > when firefox starts )
kbrosnan
oh, json
xacv
kbrosnan, by default it saves the session if it crashes but i don't have a sessionstore.rdj
rdf*
i have a .js though
kbrosnan
it should be .js
xacv
is there any difference between sessionstore.rdf and sessionstore.js?
kbrosnan, you mean you made a mistake about the rdf?
kbrosnan
i don't think .rdf was ever used. if it was, i would guess pre firefox 2 might have used it
else an extension might be responsible
xacv
kbrosnan, ok thanks
zpao
i dont think there ever was a sessionstore.rdf

i want to make firefox on windows either send a key to another application, or send a command to DDE, or any other idea for sending a hotkey up to the os. I have an applicaiton with no keyboard that is communicating with hardware. that app takes a hotkey to get teh info. but i have no keyboard. any ieads?
basically, i want to write javascript to send the key up to the os.

Hi folks. Yesterday I found one strange behavior of Linux version of Firefox
regarding javascript keycodes (on keydown and keyup events)
keycodes are different when different keyboard layouts are selected (keycodes returned on keydown events are different for us layout and for example sl layout - very strange)
under Windows it works just fine
It seems that keycodes are correctly returned for us and not for others (some pressed keys return keycode 0)

Hey... Is anybody else having trouble getting to the firefox addons right now? I'm trying from 3 computers and no luck on any of them, but they're also all in the same building
The site it self is super slow, the odd time I actually get the install box to pop up it errors out...
