Ok.. I have the confirmation for sure. So something is off Seems its just moderators beein lazy :(
set SMTPLISTENEROPTIONS='-oX 465:25 -oP /var/run/exim4/exim.pid' in /etc/default/exim4 and "tls_on_connect_ports=465" in the main configuration section. "tls_on_connect_ports=465" what is the main config section ?
Am I blind, or are there no base64_decode functions in exim?
what are you wanting to decode?
Anyone running larger systems? What backend do you eventually use for log-data? That means received/rejected mail and so on? jgh_, base64 data, for example autoreply.. main point beeing its "extractable"..
in that case, you're out of luck. Exim pretty much sticks to transport, not dealing with content
autoreply is usually a very bad idea anyway &
henk, autoreply as "vacation message" is pretty standard in my line of work (hosting) jgh_, it has base62........
bjornar_: yeah, I know, people love those even though they are a bad idea (speaking as a sysadmin) & and highly annoying (speaking as a receiver of such autoreplies) &
should probably send autoreplies from $localpart+autorepy@$domain tho.. to be able to follow batv and spf and still prevent looping Doing a quite cool setup with haproxy proxy protocol and "multi-brand".. so exim answers and delivers mail differently based on incoming address/brand..
