I would like to relay mail through a restrictive firewall. If i have a mailserver on the inside that listens on an alternate port, how can i teach a public facing exim to send mail to that server using a special port?
smtp transports 'port' setting
thanks ahh. im using debian, so it was actally easier than that even. just add a line to /etc/exim4/hubbed_hosts
Is it possiable to return to the user what ACL match denied them to send a smtp message? I have a addresslist used to deny specifc senders.
henk: I want to report what entry denied the sender.
henk: I cant find anything in the documentation to add to the message line to display what matched for the deny
mrochford: I need more info to understand your exact inquiry &
henk: I have a addresslist for senders. In that list have *@foobar.com. When firstname.lastname@example.org tries to send I would like the message to say "Relay Denied for *@foobar.com"
if $sender isn't sufficient, you'll want to add you name to https://bugs.exim.org/show_bug.cgi?id=452
there is a panel that manages users
mrochford: You shouldnt match addresses, but use authentication and authorization.
