h0n3st: is that a game? 'find the mistake'?
h0n3st: if not, state your problem... searching for errors without knowing the problem sucks.
h0n3st

Hello, people!
Can anybody please tell me what next string actually means:
failed to expand condition "${perl{CheckIfAddressInAliases(${quote_perl:$local_part@$domain})}{yes}{no}" for LDAP_Aliases router: unknown lookup type "perl"
Does that mean that have exim compiled without embedded perl?
petemc
exim -bV
Corebug
petemc: http://pastebin.org/350955
petemc
read it yourself
Corebug
petemc: Well, i read it :) That's why i asked what log entry above actually ment .
Or, maybe this formulation will be much more correct : Please, show me an example of how one can use exim's embedded perl in router conditions/data
djce
Corebug: running exim -be '${perl{Exim::expand_string}{OK}}' will show whether or not you have perl enabled in your exim. As for how to /use/ it: http://exim.org/exim-html-current/doc/html/spec_html/ch12.html#SECID86
Corebug
djce: Thanks !
djce: sorry for disturbing, but is it possible to use perl in conditions at all?
djce
yes, can be used anywhere a string expansion can be used.
Corebug
I just don't realize why it continues yelling "failed to expand condition... for LDAP_Aliases router: unknown lookup type "perl""
djce
Read that link I sent you. The syntax you're using is not what's described in that link.
Corebug
djce: I've read it... by now, the actual error message looks like:
failed to expand condition "${perl{CheckIfAddressInAliases}{${quote_perl:$local_part@$domain}}}{yes}{no}}" for LDAP_Aliases router: unknown lookup type "perl"
djce
Corebug: closer, but you don't need to quote the arguments. For example, see the exim -be command line I pasted earlier.
I suggest you make use of "exim -be" while you're working out how to do this. Start simple: just call the perl and get the result.
Then build up the complexity from there.
Corebug
djce: petemc: Thank you guys, you really saved me. Heil EXIM !
By now it works alright :)

I saw Nigel announce moving to git, but haven't seen any followup messages. You guys know if that's moving forward?
