Im trying to use phpmailer to send an email but it returns an error saying "connection refused". All other normal email works through a client, just not this. Where is the log that may indicate why it isnt working?
JSM87, does php mailer use localhost? cause maybe your exim doesnt bind to 127.0.0.1 and is phpmailer using smtp or 'sendmail' ? or is it using the php builtin? cause that could be some badly set up php.ini too
local: No it is using IP When I run the php script via SSH it works fine..
then i dont think its an exim problem?
local: I know, im just trying to get some kind of error info to see why refusing
well you wouldnt get it from exim, cause if its not even connecting then exim wont have any logs maybe its iptables or something?
what is everyone's favorite anti-spam solution ?
beating the spammers really up with a spikey baseball bat
ssh email@example.com && apt-get install phx
Is it possible to set up exim to listen on multiple IP addresses and handle a separate set of domains on each address?
yes, using $received_ip_address
can i also use that to change the banner?
okay. I think I get how I'd do the domains (I already have that controlled by a mysql database), but how would the banner work?
do a lookup based on $received_ip_address in the banner expansion
