I'm getting started with exim. My distro, opensuse, packages it. Are there specific/typical reasons -- like functions/features missing -- that I'd build it myself, instead? I useually get days into a pkg before figuring out that it's 'limited' somehow that I need. Though I'd ask first this time ...

hi!
how do I get the queued failed messages to go out again?
and are those them?:
srv0:/var/spool/exim4/db# ls -l
-rw-r----- 1 Debian-exim Debian-exim 43675648 Feb 11 16:26 retry
djce
lolufail: depends what you mean by "failed". "exim -bp" shows the contents of the queue. "exim -qf" starts a queue run. Or you might want "-qff".
See "man exim" and the Specification document.
