hi, is it possible to use hostlist in order to allow relay from some ip, ex xx.xx.xx.0/24 and ALSO have an exclude list, ex xx.xx.xx.111 (in order to allow from any ip in that range, but not the specific IP)?
petemc
make the list something like foo = !xx.xx.xx.111 : xx.xx.xx.0/24
Ramjar
oh so it is possible. damn sweet
do i need to have the !ip before : ip-range, or does it not matter?
(another question): is it possible to do a "reload" of the configuration or do i need to stop and then restart every configuration change?
petemc
im not 100%, but i suspect the negated address would need to come first, else the it would be passed as being within the range
and most distributions ship exim with a script that takes stop/start/restart arguments
Ramjar
correct. Thank you petemc!
petemc
and exim doesnt need to be restarted if you change eg: alias files
