Joelio: lire (logreport.org)
Joelio: i use both eximstats and lire
Joelio
henk: Any decent documentation for lire
I looked into it last night but it wasn't very well documented, from a use point of view
henk

hello
Phurl
hi all, Is there a way to tell if a message has been queued at all from the logfile? I find messages that are sent at the same time and recieved. Is there a higher precision timer available for exim?

djce
Phurl: define "queued at all".
All messages that are accepted get queued.
Some leave the queue almost immediately;
some don't.
If you want logs with a timing resolution < 1 second, you could log to syslog then have a hi-res timestamping syslogd.
vorlock
guys are the acl conditions parsed top-->bottom?
petemc
yes
vorlock
thx
petemc
if a test passes, no more tests will be done in that acl
vorlock
any idea how to allow for group A receiving emails only from domain.A and group B from all over the world?
henk
from domain a? you mean the sender's domain?
vorlock
yes
henk
deny the mail if the recipient is in group a and the domain is not domain.A...
vorlock
lol I'm working too long today
thx
Phurl

Hello. I realize there is probably information about this somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. I am looking to have my server send any messages that failed to be delivered to an admin address. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
henk
shriven: with "failed" you mean what?
shriven
well, for any reason really. For instance, if the remote smtp server rejects a message, I would like to be able to see the message instead of it just being removed from the queue (after the max retries are reached.)
henk
it is not "just being removed" it is bounced.
shriven
well, whatever is technically happening, any time an email can't leave my server, I want the message delivered to me instead
petemc
shriven: errors_to = shriven@foo , on the router that does the sending
shriven
Hmmm, thanks.I'll look into that
I appreciate it.
