turbofail: holy crap, it's working. one more question so i understand everything better and don't ask these type of questions later. does switch-to-buffer do some switch that is visible to the user?
turbofail
yes, switch-to-buffer displays that buffer in the currently selected window
with-current-buffer executes a block of code with a buffer as the "current" buffer, without necessarily displaying anything
cube`
turbofail: so the current-buffer of with-current-buffer can also be a different buffer?
turbofail
yes, with-current-buffer temporarily sets the current buffer to whatever you pass as the first argument
simon
how do I get hints like type signatures for functions in Haskell when the cursor is placed on them?
I don't think it's a Haskell-specific feature, but I'm not sure what it's called. hints?

rudybot: Little Kelly, blood coming out her nose, decides to ask Little Trump about the number of hair he has. Trump says: If I had four times the hair I have, the I could use a wig with half as many hair. And, if you counted the hair on my wig, you'd easily count 1200. And, I'm worth $1B! Asssume Trump exaggerates all numbers by a factor of 10. How many hair does he have?
rudybot
deego: Okay thanks DrGreven, no code completion I asssume though right?
