Hi guys. I would like to know how to fix this indentation thing: http://pastebin.com/m31313542 , SOMETHING is a macro with its semicolon, the probleme is that the "public:" will be badly indented, it is still detected as "topmost-intro-cont" instead of "access-label"
stepnem
I'd say that's pretty old, actually
quotemstr
qnix: What goes wrong if you just add the semicolon?
qnix
nothing... but it's just unusual to write it. (when using the QT API)

I'd like to modify the vc-svn.el file which is included by default in emacs23 (as far as I can tell from my ubuntu repo build). How would I go about editing this file? I cannot find it in /usr/share or /usr/local/share. Am I looking in the wrong place? Do I need to compile the entirety of emacs from source to do this?
ams
Armageddon00: ask the ubuntu folks.
bojohan
Armageddon00: why?
ams
for all we know, they might only be distributing .elc files.
Armageddon00
bojohan: Firstly, because I can. Secondly, because svn defaults to interactive mode and I'd like to modify the soruce of vc-svn so that it uses noninteractive mode and stops failing out on me.
stepnem
Armageddon00: there are usually the corresponding packages containing the sources; called like emacs-el or something
Armageddon00
It's a known bug that hasn't been included in the ubuntu repo of emacs23 yet.

the 'n' is for 'not' :)

I have to use that.
e1f
do you desecrate your pancakes with non-maple syrup?
quotemstr
No.
I use the real stuff.
And now I want pancakes, you insensitive clod.
I've always used the mix. I wonder whether I can get by with my supply of flour, water, and eggs.
shabble
you make pancakes....from mix!?

shabble
is this for american-style thick sweet pancakes, or crepes?
quotemstr
American-style.
snogglethorpe
they're very simple to make from scratch, if you get the proportions right
quotemstr
I can't do crepes.

shabble
isn't that a basic human right?
quotemstr
I've made bread a few times.
It wasn't bad, but it turned out a little too dense.
shabble
bread is easy. Good bread is a bit harder
quotemstr
Indeed. The rising is the tricky part.
Also, the dough is too damn sticky.
shabble
assuming you don't kill the yeast, and leave it to rise long enough, the biggest problem is making it too wet, or using flour that isn't strong enough
quotemstr
Flour is flour.
I also don't have an electric mixer.
On a related note, I must be the only American in the world to not like sugar in his breakfast cereal.
