Dan0maN, Did you edited any of your XML files (on firewalld) by hand?
billings
http://elrepo.org/tiki/kmod-fglrx
Dan0maN
only the direct.xml, which i have since renamed
nanga: ^^
aeiou
it hung when i loaded (/var/log/messages) - http://pastebin.centos.org/32691/
@Dan0maN http://pastebin.centos.org/32696/
ExoUNX
pj, ok thanks
Dan0maN
aeiou: i meant, that is where YOU start to look for it
:D
aeiou
ha!
Dan0maN
aeiou: try to restart it and see if anything logs
JZTech101
sudo adduser --disabled-login --gecos 'GitLab' git <-- can anyone translate this from Debian Speak to centos Speak? None of the options work under centos :|

darius93
billings, now how does it work when there is a kernel update? Would i have to reinstall it?
or will it recompile the modules?
Dan0maN
anyone else know what, if anything, i missed on this firewalld command? https://gist.github.com/anonymous/4c5edb9875faeab1044d
darius93
wait nvm
ExoUNX
pj, I was initially using -delete but it wasn't work so I tried rm instead
billings
darius93: basically, it tries to maintain updates for new kernels, but sometimes it doesn't work.
ExoUNX
pj, I tested it on my offsite backup server where the files get rsynced to and it worked fine, thanks again
nanga
Dan0maN, How the network interface 'ens192' is configured? Could you paste your /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ens192 file?
Dan0maN
pj: i've used find to remove massive files for a very long time now, and i never knew that -delete option existed. ty
aeiou
anyone have access to this? https://access.redhat.com/solutions/1122173
:P
Dan0maN
nanga: hrmm. that could be it. i renamed the connections via nmcli to inside/outside, using the 'DEVICE' param in the files set to the interface names. seems that that could be the culprit.
nanga
Dan0maN, Or the "ZONE=<zone>" thing
Dan0maN
nanga: yeah. maybe since i'm changing the zone of the real interface name, it is unable to update the ifcfg scripts
because the ZONE option is in those files as well
wait. i take that back. no ZONE option in either
no doubt because it can't find the file by the interface name
i'm trying to do it right and use these new 'tools' like nmcli and firewall-cmd, but i still prefer the good old flat text files
and this is why
nanga
Dan0maN, If you're renaming those files (say, ifcfg-ens192 --> ifcfg-LAN, for example), put the DEVICE=<device> inside those files
Dan0maN
nanga: they are
nehemiasz
hello
Dan0maN
nehemiasz
What i should to set in source instalation when i want to install centos from internet?
Dan0maN
nanga: i'll manually add the ZONE option to each file. i'm sure that's it
nanga: because it is defaulting to public
billings
nehemiasz: https://www.centos.org/download/mirrors/ <-- pick a local mirror
nanga
Dan0maN, Oh! One more thing: did you tried disabling NetworkManager?
(Action) runs and hides

Dan0maN
nanga: lol. i've done that for too long. trying to use the new tools
nanga: learn them as well
nanga: well, maybe this isn't it: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/174bae7908d5c299bca6
i'll rename the files back to what their interfaces are
but nmcli is the one who named one of the files incorrectly anyway
kaos01
arent devices identified by UUID by nm
nanga
Dan0maN, Before renaming those files, changing zone from some interface to another did work?
kaos01
so renamng the file shoudl be fine, no need for DEVICE
nehemiasz
billings, i cant use http://centos.slaskdatacenter.com/ in primary repo in instalator. Other doesnt work too
Dan0maN
nanga: lol. nothing is working. i'm not sure why, but i can't get this to save: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/2a64361f862819311069
nanga
kaos01, As far I know NetworkManager uses UUIDs
Dan0maN, How are the XML files on /etc/firewalld/zones ?
kaos01
nehemiasz is your network working ?
nanga
Dan0maN, One time I asked that for some guy, and he replied: "They're juusst fine."
nehemiasz
kaos01, yup
Dan0maN
heh. yeah. they're feeling okay. https://gist.github.com/anonymous/d50448c68ce5fd56e4cf
i'm at a loss
nanga
Dan0maN, file is normal, heh... Really strange, I can't tell what's wrong
kaos01
nehemiasz youn eed to point to a repo is that URL pointint to a repo ?
nehemiasz
i dont understand kaos01
Dan0maN
nehemiasz
kaos01, i need to add http://centos.slaskdatacenter.com/7/os/x86_64/
kaos01
what are you doing ?
want to add extra repo during install ?
nanga
Dan0maN, Oh! Dang... Its good to know
Dan0maN
nanga: yeah. i'm adding a note with this info as well
nanga: there. updated. thanks for the help. it was mildly entertaining, but now i have to find a work around until they fix it

http://pastebin.com/npdsHpym
here's what my log looks like for the /var/log/audit file
sdgathman
ntz: since said user can always change their umask again, why not just set umask in their .bashrc / .profile / whatever ? Or in /etc/profile.d
ntz
